Relacionar materiales equivalentes

Hola! soy nuevo en el foro, hace un año que trabajo con el sistema sap, encargado del maestro de materiales. Resulta que en la empresa que trabajo se genero un requerimiento, por el cual quieren poder relacionar dos materiales, es decir, se tienen dos o mas repuestos los cuales son equivalentes, lo que se quiere hacer es poder buscar por el numero de material de cualquiera de ellos y que el sistema te indique sus equivalentes, para asi poder solicitar cualquier de ellos.
Quiero aclarar que desean mantener stocks separados de cada uno de los materiales, por lo tanto un material NPF no serviria ya que este mezcla los stock en un solo material.

Alguien tiene alguna idea?

Al parecer puede ser una solución que entrega SAP Retail --> Artículos genéricos y variantes.

Roys, gracias pero no habia aclarado que trabajamos con SAP R/3 enterprise, y tengo entendido que no es lo mismo que sap retail, o si? de todas formas, no es una variante de un material, sino que son dos o mas materiales distintos pero que son equivalentes, se pueden utilizar para lo mismo, pero que se necesitan tener los stocks de cada uno por separado. y quieren poder tener una relacion entre los dos materiales por la cual se pueda buscar.

casi 6 meses despues sigo sin poder solucionarlo de una manera eficiente.! seguiremos investigando.

Podría ser que uses el mismo SKU para los 2 materiales pero puedas dividir su stock por lotes.

Define Substitution Reasons

In this step, you define substitution reasons for material determination. The substitution reasons are entered in the master records for material determination.

You can specify additional control parameters and system responses for each substitution reason:

You can specify whether the substituted material is included in relevant output types (for example, order confirmation), so that you can tell what the original material was after material determination has been carried out.
You can control whether the system issues a warning message before it substitutes a material.
You can specify whether a material is automatically substituted by another, or whether several possible substitutes are displayed for selection.
With the outcome, you specify whether a document item is replaced or whether the substitute is created as a subitem of the original entry.
Activities
1. Enter an alphanumeric key with a maximum of 4 characters together with a textual description.
2. Specify the control parameters for the substitution reason.
3. Ensure that the reason for substitution is entered in the master records for material determination.
