Setting up SAPconnect to Send Internet E-Mail

1. Call transaction SCOT.
2. Choose View → System status.
3. Choose Settings → Default Domain. A dialog box is displayed.
4. Specify your default domain. For example, “mydomain.com”.
5. Confirm.
6. In the Administration screen, double-click the SMTP node. A dialog box is displayed.
7. Check the box “node in use”.
8. Specify the mail host for SMTP. For example, “mail.mydomain.com”.
9. Specify a mail port. The default port is 25.
10. Choose “Set” (for “Internet”). A second dialog box is displayed.
11. Enter an asterisk (*) for “address area”.
12. Choose Continue.
13. Choose Continue.

Setting Up a Periodic Job for SAPconnect

E-mails sent from an SAP application are first sent to a queue. The queued e-mails are subsequently sent by a periodic background job.

To schedule the periodic background job sending queued e-mails:
1. Call transaction SCOT.
2. Choose View → Jobs. The SAPconnect Job Administration screen is displayed.
3. Choose Job → Create. A dialog box is displayed.
4. Specify a job name.
5. Confirm.
6. In the next window, select the variant SAP&CONNECTALL.
7. Choose Schedule job.
8. Choose Schedule Periodically. A dialog box is displayed.
9. Specify a time period. For example, 10 minutes.
10. Choose Create.
