Application Packaging Engineer, Honduras (long term position)

We have a new requirement in Honduras, for a client who needs a Application Packaging Engineer for a long term position, starting in mid of March.

Required Candidate Profile

- 3-6 years Expertise in the area of Application Re-packaging and Deployment
- Experience in Packaging Process Automation
- Expertise in developing installation packages using one or more of the common Re-Packaging technologies – Install Shield, Wise Packaging Studio.
- Expertise in Windows Installer technology
- Knowledge of Bug Tracking tools, Package Versioning and Package Life Cycle Managing Tools

Technical Skills Required

- Proficient in Windows XP and Win 7 operating systems
- Good in technical trouble shooting and problem solving
- Proficient in Application Packaging and Deployment
- Familiarity in using VMWare and Ghost Images
- Analyze & Understand VB scripts and able to create custom actions
- Knowledge of Remediation of compatibility issues in win 7
- Proficient in ITIL frame work
- Experienced in handling complex and very complex applications
- Experience in creating/updating Daily/weekly Trackers and Status reports
- Must have Knowledge in application Re-Packaging, Application Compatibility testing and Software Distribution
- Deployment of OS Image and Applications using Altiris will be an added advantage
